Frequently asked questions

Yes. Calibration is handled through the companion app, so you'll need it to use LaneSight. Once your phone is mounted and calibrated, all tracking runs on the primary app. The companion also adds big-screen session review for users who want it.

No. The companion requires an active primary app account. It extends the primary app; it does not replace it.

iPad, Android tablet, Mac, and Windows.

Shot tracking, session recording, score entry, and arsenal management all work offline. Features that require the server (A&I plan generations, lane state inference, league joining, coach messaging, and sync) need an internet connection. When you reconnect, data syncs automatically.

No. An account is required to use LaneSight. The Lite tier is free and covers shot tracking, session recording, and ball library access.

Lite gets 3 plan generations lifetime, using ball library data with standard drilling assumptions. Player gets 3 per week, Player Pro gets 10 per week, Coach gets 15 per week. Limits reset on Monday (UTC). Each generation (including regeneration after changes) counts as one use. Player and above use your actual arsenal for personalised recommendations.

You can export a diagnostics report from Settings → Diagnostics. To request full data removal, email support@lanesight.tech.

Open Settings → Diagnostics, export a report, and email it to support@lanesight.tech with a description of what happened. The report includes a support code that helps us find your session quickly.
