The primary app (iPhone & Android) automatically tracks every shot (speed, boards, breakpoint, and entry angle) and gives you AI-powered game plans, a full arsenal manager, an integrated ball library, and an oil pattern browser. The companion app (iPad, Android tablet, Mac & Windows) lets you calibrate remotely from the big screen and replay every session with full lane overlays and analytics. One subscription covers both.

Ball Tracking
Automatic shot detection from the moment the ball crosses the foul line. LaneSight tracks the full path to the pins and computes a complete set of metrics per shot.

Ball Library
Browse ball specs from leading manufacturers. Search by brand, coverstock type, or core shape. Each entry includes RG, differential, manufacturer finish, and recommended surface settings. Link balls from the library directly to your arsenal.

Arsenal Management Player+
Track every ball in your bag with weight, surface finish (grit, polish, pad type), layout details (pin-to-PAP, PSA angle, VAL angle), and a custom nickname. Link balls to sessions and plans so your data travels with your equipment decisions.

A&I Hub: Tournament Planning Player+
Create a plan for your tournament. Enter the pattern, lane type, surface subtype, environment, and schedule. Generate a strategy that includes:
- Per-phase shot line recommendations
- Ball choices with surface adjustments
- Maintenance guidance: prep, between blocks, end of day
- Arsenal gap suggestions
Shot entry and 10-pin scoring built in. Strike quality is tracked across your session (flush, high flush, light, messenger, brooklyn) so your stats reflect shot quality, not just results. In supported centers, your scores flow directly from the lanes without any manual entry.
Available on: all tiers. Lite includes 3 lifetime generations using ball library data with standard drilling assumptions (no personal arsenal). Same structure as tournament planning, built for weekly recurrence. Track session-by-session pinfall, prep notes, conditions, and metrics across the full season.

Oil Pattern Library Player Pro+
Import official Kegel patterns by URL or ID, or enter patterns manually with rows, tanks, distances, and conditioner selection. Patterns are searchable and stored in your account.

AI-generated analysis of your current arsenal: a coverage summary, gap identification, and recommendations with reasoning. Understand what's missing before you go shopping.

Historical Tracking & Baseline Learning Player+
Shots accumulate across sessions to build a delivery baseline covering average speed, rev rate, and axis tilt. The app uses this to inform interpretation across sessions. Your baseline is always visible and editable. It never overrides measured data.

Browse and replay recorded sessions shot by shot on your phone. Lane overlays, metrics, and per-shot navigation.

Session Sharing Player+
Share a single session as a public link: scorecards, leave patterns, and stats, no account required. If the session is still in progress, the link updates live so others can follow along in real time.

Leagues
When creating a league plan, search for your league by center. Join an existing league or create a new one. Your league gets a public page showing everyone's stats straight away. A league secretary can claim the league for full management: approve members, manage teams, and control lineups. All league participation is free.

League & Tournament Sharing Player Pro+
Share an entire league or tournament as a public link: every session, full context, complete picture. The definitive record of a season or event, shareable with anyone.

Lane State Inference Player+
During league play, LaneSight tracks your leaves and strike types frame by frame. Combined with the declared oil pattern, lane surface, and your arsenal, the physics engine models how the lane is transitioning and suggests when to move or switch balls.
Player: Simplified suggestions: a one-line adjustment call so you know what to do without the noise.
Player Pro and above: Full lane state analysis with confidence levels, breakpoint drift, transition history, ball change recommendations from your arsenal, and predicted next transition. Pro and Coach users can switch to simplified mode in settings when they just want the call.

Coaching: Coach Tier
Everything in Player Pro, plus tools built for coaches working with multiple bowlers. On the bowler side, browse the coach directory, find coaches by specialisation, and connect directly through the app.
Coach Profile & Directory
Set up a public coach profile with your bio, specialisations, availability schedule, and coaching rate. Appear in the LaneSight coach directory so bowlers can find and contact you directly through the app.

Roster Management
Manage your full roster of bowlers in one place. Linked bowlers connect their existing LaneSight account to you, and you see their profile and (with their permission) their sessions. Managed bowlers are created and administered directly by you, with a claim code they can use to take ownership later.

Session Review
When a linked bowler enables session sharing, you can browse and review their recorded sessions directly from your app. The same shot-by-shot view, metrics, and lane overlays. Review sessions between lessons or during practice without the bowler having to share a manual export.

The companion app requires the primary app. Download is free on iPad, Android tablet, Mac, and Windows; features follow your account tier.
Calibration
Companion-driven calibration keeps your hands free once the phone is on the tripod. The companion requests a still frame from the camera, then you drag the four trapezoid corners to match the lane edges. The companion validates the geometry and sends it to the phone. No need to touch the device.
Calibration is per-session. Replay always uses the session's original calibration.

Live Session Tracking
Once calibrated, the companion shows a real-time synthetic lane view as each shot is tracked. The full ball path and key metrics update within seconds of each delivery.
